Description
Bone broth has been made for hundreds of years by our grandparents and their grandparents due to its traditional gut and immune health properties. Beef Bone Broth is made up almost entirely of protein which is necessary for tissue building and repair throughout the body. The amino acids present are in a specific ratio that is unique, and otherwise not available in the lean cuts of meat commonly consumed, but which are beneficial to us. Beef Bone Broth also contains the added benefit of Vitamin B12 to support immunity. Leading busy lives can make it hard to find time to make bone broth from scratch. Our Beef Bone Broth powder is ready in seconds, as tasty and nutritious as homemade and easy to take on the go!
HOW IS BONE BROTH MADE?
Roasted beef bones are added to filtered water and apple cider vinegar (to maximise mineral extraction) then slow cooked for 48 hours. The broth is then strained for impurities and the fat is skimmed off of the top. It is gently refranctance dried into a powder, taking care to preserve the nutritional profile.

Why we added Nutritional Yeast to our Beef Bone Broth and what are the benefits?
Despite it’s name, nutritional yeast may just be one of the most important additions to your food plan in terms of health and taste. Savoury Nutritional Flakes or ‘yeast flakes’ should not be confused with traditional baking yeast as they contain no alcohol and won’t cause or exacerbate candida or leaven baked goods. Savoury Nutritional Flakes are made from a single-celled organism fungi called Saccharomyces Cerevisiae grown on GMO free molasses. They are harvested, washed and dried with heat to ‘deactivate’ them and then rolled to form flakes.
Savoury nutritional flakes or nutritional yeast as they are sometimes referred to are packed with nutrition, high in B Vitamins, Zinc and other trace minerals and one of only a few sources of Vitamin B12 that are Vegan friendly. They are a complete bioavailable source of protein and a natural fibre source. Nutritional Yeast is gluten, dairy and soy free.
Folate Vs Folic Acid: Folate is also known as Vitamin B9 and is naturally occurring in foods. Folic Acid is the synthetic version of folate, found added to foods and has also been know to be labeled as ‘fortified’ foods.
Folic Acid is a widely accepted term to describe this Vitamin and so is Folate so it can be very confusing.
